questions on 4 wheel drive differences

I have a 97 2 wheel drive Suburban that I love but being from South Dakota I have been looking at used late 90's 4 wheel drive Yukons for my wife. I have seen 2 different types of "shift" methods on different Yukons. One is a manual floor shift to engage 4 wheel and the other is a push button type. My question is what are the pro's and con's of both? Given the choice what would everyone recommend?
Thanks for the help!

both fairley reliable

Floor shift is slow to engage when its cold and water affects it greatley(I know) but once in pretty good performance

Push button is the way to go especially for in my case my wife she wont wait or look far enough ahead to engage floor shift. The button can remain in most of the time in auto 4wd mode and she knows when its not neccassay she just pokes the button and off she goes the button for a girl /women in my opinion.

Disclaimer (not that shes stupid she just doesnt get it Ya know yours may be different But I doubt it):sarcasm1:wink:
