Let me show you Lamborghini Diabolo (Italeri, 1/24), which was reconstructed couple year a go:

Doors were cut out and hinged.

Front wheels became steerable.

It looks really good, there aren't enough Diablos built. I really like that you took the time to make the steering work, among other things.
