When an ignition coil starts going bad, the engine will run good cold until it gets to normal operating temperatures then as the ignition coil warms up, the engine will start misfiring.

Just went through something similar, changed fuel filter, no better, put on new coil to no avail, finally had to take it into a shop, they ended up replacing the distributor, cured the problem, in fact it has not run better for several years, seems like it very slowly deteriorated over time and it was not really noticeable until it started failing badly. Am really delighted at how smooth it is a idle and more power at speed now......

i also had the same prob. i took it up the the shop and the air intake is what caused it, don't ask me how it just did, one of the clamps came undone and the tube fell out just enuf to mess with the mass air i guess. the shop charged me nothing so i dont think they lied to me
