RTV sealer and Loctite on Intake Manifold Lumina 3.1

I am about to change the upper and lower intake gaskets on my Lumina. We drove it 120,000 miles before it started leaking. I guess we did alright. It's been a great car. It sounds like many other posts...leak puddle under the throttle body. After reading many posts from many sites, I think I've decided to use the Felpro "Problem Solver" gasket set. It's the one with the metal frame. I too went to GM to see the improved 89017279 gaskets with "new bolts" and it too was plastic. Very disappointed.
I don't think I'm am going to buy new bolts either. I've seen all the GM bulletins saying to change them. I think I'm going to clean the old ones and put fresh blue loctite on them. What is everyone's experience? How many have changed the bolts?
My question now...after reading many posts from many sites, do I use GM RTV 12346141 or regular Permatex Black RTV? Some GM guys say the Permatex Black RTV isn't oil resistant enough. The GM sealer is very high. Is there a difference?

This is the Blazer forum.
Good choice on the problem solver gasket.
New bolts and proper torque is best.
The GM wkacker black is the best.
I use Import Ultra gray permatex
Good luck

The bolt torque tighening has been changed with the new bolts for better retention, I would get the new ones. Fel Pro has an updated gasket that is not plastic. Find an rtv that is oil resistant, there are many out there.

Pematex Ultra Black works very well & is very oil resistant.

You can use Permatex blue to seal the bolt threads if you like, but I've had better success with PST thread sealant.
