89 dakota no start

i have a 89 dakota with 3.9l motor that will not start new coil new pickup in distributor gets feul no voltage at coil please help?

The wire that feeds power to the coil should be gray with a black tracer. That wire goes back to a splice and that wire color is dark green with a black tracer. That wire (dark green with a black tracer) also supplies power to the injectors; oxygen sensor heater and the fuel pump. Power for that circuit come out of the ASD relay which is mounted on the left fender. The relay is powered up for a couple seconds at key on the then is deenergized. The relay is the powered up when the computer sees a signal from the distributor pick-up coil. Red wire at ASD relay is power in and supplied by a fusible link. Dark green with black tracer has been explained. Dark blue with a white tracer is power supplied by the computer. Dark blue with a yellow tracer goes to the computer and is grounded by the computer to turn the relay on.
