Front end vibration when driving.

Good morning all, I have a 2000 Eddie Bauer AWD (5.0) with a front end hum (high frequency vibration) that occurs at all speeds. Brakes are ok, tires have been rotated/balanced. The only time it seems to go away is when going into a right hand curve at highway speeds, as soon as i straighten out, it comes back. Any insight would be helpful so I'm not taken to the cleaners when I have it repaired.

Thanks!

Is it related to vehicle speed, such that the faster you go the higher the frequency?

Sounds like you probably have a right front or right rear wheel bearing going out.

Yes, it starts about 20 mph as a lower frequency growl almost, and then it increases in frequency as speed increases. If it is a wheel bearing, how big of a job is it?

FYI: It was the front drivers side wheel hub assembly. $300 to repair, not too bad.

yes, i believe the whole thing is an assembly. Just make sure that the shop puts ALL the bolts in the brake caliper, which this one failed to do...
