disks or tires?

So I went out of town and my corolla has a vibrating issue. It is fine when your going straight along with the gas down but when you let it coast, you can feel the wheel shaking. When you brake you can hear the vibrating even more and it pulls to the left. Not violently pulling but enough to throw you off. Im assuming it to be possibly a bent disk on the driver side front brakes. What else should I check for when I go to take the driver side apart? I don't think balancing would be an issue would it? Its also easy to feel at low speeds like in parking lots. The faster you go, the less it seems to pull. I thought prehaps a tire...or rim...was bent. I have had a tire that actually had a lump in it once and it was on the front and made the wheel go from side to side basically. Right now the wheel seems to pull just to the left not side to side. Its like a bunch of little tugs and it pulls the wheel to the left a few degrees or so. Could I have damaged suspension by any chance on that side? The tires are also good. (Or atleast should be. They are only 2 years old.)

Did I get an alignment? Um no not in a long time. This has just started happening today. I haven't had to take anything apart yet. I got home a few hours ago. I won't be doing any work on it until tomorrow.

:banghead: Balls. I thought this was the Sentra.
Check all the parts that hold the tire's toe in place, such as the tie rod end, steering rack, control arm bushings and bolts, strut, lug nuts, wheel bearings etc.
My guess is that the left wheel has developed a bit of looseness. When you are on the gas, the driving force takes up whatever slack is there and holds the alignment straight.
As soon as you let off the gas, the wheel has enough slop in it to shimmy, hence the vibration. The braking force allows the wheel to toe-out, so it pulls to one side.
If nothing is obvious, try swapping the front and rear wheels
Also, did you hit anything which makes you think you have damaged a rim or tire?

No this is on the riced out rolla that a few saw in a previous video of the sentra and laughed at but i could care less. lol. Sorry I should have mentioned what kind of car it was. I never hit anything. It was just sudden. I know the cv joint has been clicking letting me know its time to replace the axles (i still can't ever get the ones for the sentra in let alone change these but with snow in indiana its been delayed hit and miss opprounities with no garage) but I always thought if the cv joint went out, or lost a bearing it would either not have drive at all to that wheel(or possibly both) or it would roll rougher. Kind of like a caster wheel on your office chair when it looses a bearing or two. I should probably check the boot on that side but even still I hear the clicking so I'm assuming the joint is in one piece.

Toe will not cause a pull, just eat tires and possibly set the steeringwheel off from center. A bad CV axle can cause trouble like that depending on how bad it is. You should definitely check your suspension and make sure nothing like a lower control arm bushing has worn out. Have your engine/trans mounts checked too. They way they position the engine, they keep your engine/trans from creating torque steer on acceleration but it could also cause some weird stuff on decel if the thing decides to get itself twisted a bit weird.

Sad...I even read over my first post last night when I replied to you and never saw that I mentioned the car until now. The vibration is mostly at high speeds. The boot on the driver side is broken. Ive never looked inside a cv joint so I couldn't tell you if its bad or not(and I don't care to find out from what ive heard.) The joint has been popping for the last month now since it got cold. I'm assuming thats what the problem is. The vibration is heard all through out the car. I looked at the tire and its fine. The axle itself actually has a small amount, very small, of play side to side. Is that normal? The disk brake doesn't have any grooves or worn spot like anything dragging or seizing. Autozone has the driver side axle 70 bucks. The way I see it even if its not the problem, then its going to need to be changed anyways cause its popping. Hopefully I can get it in and it be easier than the sentra has been. The driver side on the sentra is in but th passenger side isn't as easy. Its longer and hard to hold up.
