Not to be a downer but there is still a possibility of those not fitting your VR4. Even if offset matches stock it could stil have fitment issues due to the front calipers.

lol. youre a total downer stealthee

nah, i took a leaf out of autostrada's book and made sure i could return them if they dont fit. i believe he also mentioned a list of wheels that are known to fit. anyone have a link?

but even if those arent on there that doesnt mean they wont fit. This list is def. not complete. mine werent on there so..

anyways, the spoke design on those looks like you should be alright.

$150 for the wheels and $170 for shipping.

Why are those so damn cheap? Are they very good wheels?

vr4choke
12-19-2009, 02:43 AM
i dunno, but ill find out. the shipping actually ended up being more to hawaii. :banghead: i hate this place more everyday....

anyone know how much the stock wheels weigh? these are just under 28 lbs

Very interested to see how they look on your car. I'm curious though - if it doesn't fit will you have to pay the 20% restocking fee? That would way suck!

vr4choke
12-20-2009, 02:47 AM
ugh. i dunno. i hope not!
if they dont fit, i may just get spacers. i know alot of you guys dont like em, but i dont have a problem with them

TorchedStealth
12-20-2009, 01:10 PM
Damn that cheap for a set of wheels shipped

vr4choke
12-23-2009, 11:06 PM
dam. they dont fit in the front. . . i need spacers!!
my question to you is this: do i need to get spacers for all for wheels? or can i just get em for the front?

Blackcrow64
12-24-2009, 01:14 AM
You could just space the front but they'll look funny sticking out and the car will probably handle different... ADR's are usually really nice wheels. I can't believe you got em that cheap... I say just do spacers on all 4... Unless they are gonna stick out way too far and look bad... :2cents:

vr4choke

alright so i ordered the spacers (11mm) and the 65mm extended wheel studs. NOW, i need tires! yay!
i was originally planning on going with the eagle f1's again b/c theyre awesome, but considering the price im open to anything thats equally or slightly less awesome for less moneys. suggestions?

Check out the Dunlop Direzza DZ101 they are the almost the same exact thing slightly harder compound fo longer tire laugh and better design to shed water. *i used to work at good year*

Stealthee

For 18's you want 245/40/18 or 275/35/18

Ok, so did you end up getting them to fit with 11mm spacers? If so, how does it look? Pictures?

I'm thinking he'll probably need 275 or 265's with 9.5" in width right?

Stealthee

I wasn't even considering teh wheel width. I was just stating the two sizes most use on 18's to remain stock diameter.

still waiting for them to get here. it takes FOREVER for stuff to get here form the mainland.
i can't imagine them not fitting tho. it was REALLY close without the spacers

Your going to need something in this range for low profile
275/45/18 is the side wall I usually use so it does not look like rubber bands and you have less of a chance of bending a wheel
275/40-18
275/35/18

and
275/50-55/18 is an alternative just would be a big more snug in the wheel well fulfillment and look kind of dumpy on it

hope that helps ya out a bit Joe

P.S. post us a pic when you get em wrapped an on...

Good Luck,
Matt

Those sizes are VERY incorrect.

275/45/18 is 27.7" tall. Thats 2" taller than stock and would never fit. It wouldn't even be close.

275/40/18 is 26.66" tall and also would not fit without rubbing.

275/50/18 is 28.8" and 275/55/18 is 29.9" tall with no chance, no how of ever fitting. You obviously do not understand how the math works on tires to suggest such sizes.

If you read earlier posts you would see I already told him about 275/35/18 which is the proper size.

before you go talking down on someone, a friend of mine has use 275/40/18 on his vr4 and had no rubbing but i wont say anything about the other stuff i am not about childish arguements, because i was just saying what size matches those wheels not what would work properly on his car in which all of those size do actually fit on that size wheel....
but to make you happy ok great yes

Stealthee

I wasn't talking down to you. I was giving a mere no, thats incorrect with the correct info. I had a feeling you would take offense to it though.

Also I guarantee you your friend had rubbing issues. I know people who have rubbing issues with tires that are 26.0" tall. almost 3/4" taller would rub like mad.

updates: so i had to grind down the logo on the front calipers a little, but they fit fine with spacers. i've just ordered some dunlop direzza's (275 35 18) so after i get those here and have em mounted, it'll be ready to go on its new shoes.
