petronix electronic ignition

I have a Petronix Ignitor ignition in my 283 and it dosen't perform. It won't idle and no high end. i use a epoxy coil ignitor II coil. could this have anything to do with it? points distributor converted to electronic ignition.

Does anyone know the gap between modular and the pick-up. is it .50 or .60 or less?
