Service Stability System questions

I have a 2001 Aurora with the "Service Stability System" coming up on the information system. My anti-lock break and Traction on lights are also showing on my dash. anybody know what causes this?

If both lights are on, you may have a bad wheel sensor. Are the lights on as soon as you start the car, or after you start to move?

They are on when I start the car and then stay on when I start to move. The "service stability system" is also displayed in the DIC.

First thing I would do is get it scanned. Chances are though, that this will not tell you much as the stability system has its own computer and own set of codes which generally can only be read by a dealership scanner.

I have diagnosed wheel sensor problems in the past by taking a resistance reading. At each wheel there is a cable for the wheel speed sensor. Disconnect the cable and take resistance reading. It should be ~1k. If all of them check out, then you probably have a more serious problem.

After watching the lights for a few days I noticed that most of the time the lights don't go on until I start to move or a few seconds after I start the car. I don't know if that makes a difference or not.

I would do the resistance check. Also, especially on the rears, inspect the wiring coming in from the chassis. I had a code being set that was due to the wire housing coming apart. I spliced in a new pigtail and all is well.
