1996 Ford Taurus

I have a 96 Taurus, the Airbag light come on. After starting my car the light blinks once followed by a short pause then blinks again two times.

Example:
blink short pause blink, blink
blink short pause blink, blink
blink short pause blink, blink
blink short pause blink, blink
blink short pause blink, blink

It does this five(5) times, Then it stays on for the duration of my drive.

Please help I need to pass the state inspection

Lost battery feed or low battery feed voltage That is what the manual states for the code 12. You may need to look at the battery to be sure it is not low on charge. May also want to check the connections for any corrosion.
