I like the idea of making it a flatbed. If you are, be sure to try and find an extra set of tires and wheels to make it a dually. That'd rock. Then you could scratchbuild a wench and stuff too. Why don't you get some CSC or brake fluid and just strip the paint though??

grandprix92, if your gonna make it a flatbed, why not make it one of those ones from the early 50s(I think it was the 50s) where the bed was at an angle and there was a flat spot over top of the cab. The bed would be at a 45 to 30 degree angle or something like that, you would have to lengthen the frame a bit. I will try to find pics of what I am talking about

have the other set of rims on my Ram flatbed. but, i bastardised that one with decals and such. i dont want to put dualeys on this one because it has dubs currently. it wouldnt look good.

i see, i dont know if i can do that. ill try. i am only 15. ive only been modeling since i was 13. i still need work and many more supplies but a lot of my cars turned out nice. ill see what i can do, but no guarentees. i'll probably go with the stock flatbed look. and isnt that a flatbed towtruck? that's gonna make me work a lot harder trying to make the cars it'll tow stay there! but ill try. progress pics up later as this continues.

grandprix92, I don't think it would be too difficult to recreate that kind of setup. You just need to make a wedge shape out of sheet styrene, leave room for the wheels and set it on the frame, you would need to notch the bottom of the ramp to have it extende down past the frame

true, but i still need to figure out hoe to get the exaust to look cool. maybe stcks from my chevelle. ever see thew corvette stingray? it has those along the bottom so i think im gonna take them off and put them on the truck. thats gonna look pimp!

Bong thats a rampbed i want to turn my flatbed into one looks cooler.
92 its possible all you have to do is stretch the frame and use Epoxy glue (stronger) instead of just stretching the frame cut some notches on the cabs frame and axle frame for added strenght. i have 26" dubs on my flat bed too looks better. mine will be rebuilt this coming winter
on my flat bed it has a notches and brass pins going throught the frame
heres a ghetho way of explaining it
the I's are brass pins

I think that the idea of making a flatbed would be cool. You may also want to think about some ramps or something so you could "load" things on it( Right now im wishing some one made a 1/24 four wheeler).
One more thing, I dont think that you being 15 has anything to do with how good of a model you can make, Have faith in yourself.
