Alright guys I need some help now. My engine swap was going good and as planned until yesterday...
So I got the engine in and hooked it all up, tried to fire it up and it was cranking but it didn't fire. So I looked around the engine bay again to look for missing plugs and that, I found that the Crank Position Sensor wasn't hooked up...hehehe I know, my bad. Anyways I plugged it in and went to go crank it but now it stopped cranking all together!?!? I'm thinking what the hell happened? I looked at the CPS plug again and I saw a couple of the wires frayed. Could these wires have touched and screwed something up?? Anyways, I fixed the wires and plugged it back in. Now, same thing.
The starter is still good I tested it. What the hell could this be? What would make it just stop cranking all of a sudden??
Also, when I bought the truck the guy told me he had an Immobilizer installed. The kind that have the little key type deal that you plug in. Anyways he was saying that the tab on the key broke so he had bypassed the immobilizer by hooking up the ignition wire how it was stock.
Could the immobilizer be the problem here? Or am I facing a different problem...if it is the immobilizer then why all of a sudden and not when I first tried firing it?
Also:
I have checked all fuses they are all good. Everything else electric is working. I do hear the fuel pump when I turn the key.
All input appreciated!!

Check for 12v power on the purple wire at the starter with the key in the start position.

you need to check if the solenoid is working...when in the crank position did the solenoid contacts close...
when doing motor jobs the most common screw up is the grounds to the block are not secured..

I think I have most of the grounds in place, but it was cranking at a point after the engine swap...Also I tested the starter and it is still working
