:eek7:I have a 94 probe gt that wont start. I was driving down the free way and a hear a thunk going under the car it sounded like something hit it from undernieth.... When you try to start the car it crankss but wont start, I have checked the fuel lines they are all conected and the motor is getting fuel ( I've tried putting fuel directly to the motor, nothing) I ran the codes with a paper clip and for some reason its not reading anything off to me. Do you thing thee issue is the ecu?:banghead:

Not a Ford guy myself, but:
- Did you check the fuel cut off valve on the trunk? If something hit the car hard enough the valve may have tripped
- The clip trick... is it supposed to work on '94s? On several '94 GM cars the clip doesn't work at all

It sounds suspiciously like the dreaded distibutor. The clunk may have been coincidental. Check to see if you are getting spark, and strong spark. Sometimes when the disty goes it sort of slowly dies, giving a weak spark, not enough to start it.Good luck, this is a very week link in a Probe GT.

Ya! The timing belt could have broken. Look inside the oil filter cap for valve train movage while someone turns the engine over. If you can't see the valve train moving then the belt has broken and needs to be replaced.
