won't start

i have a 99 alero it died when i was driving down the hyway. just died at 65. had the coils checked and the coil controler thingy that connects to the coils checked they where all good put in new cam sensor. and checked fuel pump presher. it's also good. it's a 4 banger with about 120,000 on it. turns over great but seams like it's got no spark or gas. tank is full. could it be the timing belt? if so is there a way to check it. i mean can a dummy fig. that out with not to much tools or work? any ideas would be greatly apresh. thanks and curt
