HELP! Toyota electrical problem.

1. Strange! 1999 Sienna. Likely a problem that could be duplicated in most Toyotas. Hopefully someone has experienced this or has encountered and fixed it. Previous to current problem all the following things worked perfectly. B.I.L. removed dash on Thanksgiving to work on mechanically malfunctioning dash climate control unit. Am sure he had to disconnect a number of connections and then reconnect them for installation. Checked all fuses and relays; all are OK.

2. What happens:
Ignition key On and engine running: Everything OK except clock is out and all dome
and courtesy lights are out and will not turn on. When started the headlights come
on as normal.
Ignition key in Accessory: Power locks work properly when driver door is closed.
Clock does not work. Dome and courtesy lights do not work. Power windows,
radio, heater fan all OK.
Ignition key in Off or removed from ignition switch: All normal, expected functions
except dome/courtesy lights and clock does not work.
THE REALLY STRANGE ONE. Does NOT matter if the car is running, key is in or
out of ignition switch or if key is in any position (Off, Acc., On): If doors are
locked and then the driver’s door is opened all locks will immediately click to open.
and the doors will be unlocked. Repeated, and the same thing happens.
(Doors will lock and remained locked via key manually.)
With key in On or with engine running (key obviously in On position) the doors can
be locked and will stay locked AS LONG AS a door is not opened. If door opened
while engine is running all doors will automatically unlock.

This is just really weird to me. Help! Thanks.
