2001 alero motor swap 2.4 to 3.4l v6

hey everyone i am about to do a motor swap in my alero, from a 2.4l 4cyl to a 3.4, before i move along with this was just wonderin if any of you had any tips, or tricks that i could use to make my engine swap easier and more efficient

If you really want to do this, be prepared, there is a lot that has to be changed to make it work properly. Do you have a doner car? You need the ECM, most likely harness, the ECM needs to be programmed to work with your car etc, etc. I think the engine cradle also needs to be replaced to make the 3.4 bolt up. You live in coburg? Doms wreckers might be a very good place for parts, they have a good assortment of of these cars( used to anyways, last time I was there).

ty for your reply, yes i have a donor car, i have a 2001 grand am se.....so i could just pretty much unbolt the whole front end, lift the car off the cradle and swap the whole cradle?

It will bolt up. You have to check your drive axles, I think you'll need them from your doner. After you get that doen, you have to check your wiring harness, thats going to be needed to be changed. From there the ECM has to be programmed with your current BCM to allow the engine to start, or you can try and take the BCM and ECM from the doner and plug them in to your Alero, I don't know if that will work, you'll need some wiring diagrams to verify that.
