buying 2006 grand caravan

Gentlemen, I want to buy 2006 3.3 or 2.4 grand caravan, but would like to know if you have any suggestions is this reliable van? how long does the transmission last? what is the weak point for this vehicle etc...

also can 3.3 or 2.4 L engine be taken out from the top or it has to be on the lift to take the engine out from the bottom?
