Welcome to AF!
The shift-lock inter connect cable is out of adjustment or in need of replacement. You can overide the shift lock by taking the small plug out of the console and by inserting a small screwdriver into it's place. Pushing on the screwdriver will allow you to shift out of park until you get the necessary repairs.
There is one other thing that could be keeping it in park is that the brake lilghts may not work. You have to depress the brake pedal and the brake lights have to come on to get it to shift out of park. If your brake lights don't work, check the fuse and the switch at the pedal.
