hello, I am new to this forum and hopefully joining will enable me to do more maintenance on my 96/97 e-250 v6 3/4 ton cargo van myself. It is good to save some money but also a rush to learn more diy work to keep me occupied in early retirement.
So getting on to my question which is .No back lights, will not engage out of park. I discovered a blown fuse # 11/15 amp labelled: brake pressure switch.multi functionswitch(hazards),brake lamp switch, brake lamps. I unplugged the power to brake switch and replaced the fuse and got this clicking which must have been the flasher...i then plugged the power clip into the brake switch and blew the fuse again. Does this tell me that the brake switch is bad or could it be more than this. I did not notice before the fuse blew if the back lights were on or not Thanks for any help. fdr
