Creaking Noise At Front-End

There's a loud cricking sound coming from the front (suspension?) of my Pacifica.
It ONLY occurs when I come to a stop and:
1) change direction (forward to reverse or reverse to forward).
2) turn the steering wheel.
3) accelerate.
So, if I back out of my driveway, I'll hear it once I hit the street and start turning the steering wheel, and again when I switch the car into drive AND turn the steering wheel AND accelerate away.
I could drive forever (starting and stopping all the while) and never hear the creaking noise again UNLESS I was to stop - put the car into reverse, turn the steering wheel and then accelerate.
The Dealer was baffled and my local mechanic too.
Any advice out there?
Thanks,
John

Thanks for the advice; I'll make a note and look into those areas.
