Shopping for Ebay exhaust.

I want to get an El Cheapo exhaust for my GST Spyder. I want a full 3 inch. I already have a new Downpipe. The problem is, every exhaust I see necks down at the front. Also, I'm not going to run a cat, but I'm guessing every exhaust I buy is going to leave the space for the cat. So then I started looking at test pipes, and I cant find one of those that isn't small in diameter.

I know some of you guys on here have bought ebay exhausts, so if anyone knows if they offer a full 3" setup that would be awesome.

Seems like every 3" cat-back does have the neck. You can cut that weld a larger flange with just a little extenstion. Is the DP an aftermarket? Nearly none of the aftermarket DPs have space for a cat.

Here's what I would do. Buy cheap exhaust and cut off the flange. Autozone sells 3" pipe so get one of those and weld it on then put a 3" flange on it. The pipe is bigger at one end so it will slip over the cartback pipe and can easily be welded. Now on mine I did have to cut one of the pipes and twist the pipe some. With the muffler bolted on the cat part was pointed down a little. Dave didn't have any problems with his but I have heard ab others with issues. IMO its still totally worth it for the 110 shipped I paid for it

What do you mean the cat part faced down? You mean where the cat-back connects to what would be the cat? If so then mine was pointed down too. I loosened everything up, bolted it up to the DP and then had someone hold it in place while I retightened everything back up. Sits perfect in there now.

Like the part that goes to the front of the car was angled at like 35* to the floor. There was no way a tweaking it would help. The flanges were all loose still.

Im guessing you guys run GST catbacks? If so, which one exactly was it so I can buy it.

The DP's I have are both aftermarket. I have an Apex'i N1 dp, and I remember when I bought it, in the description it said that it was a cat-delete dp. But I also have an ebay DP that I will be running from now on (Apex'i cracked) and it is the same length as the APEXi so hopefully if I run it and an ebay catback, there will be no space.

So if you guys could just point me to the one y'all purchased (that is if you like it, and it sounds ok).

Yea we got GST catback exhaust. Here is the one I got

It did have to be cut and rewelded in one spot so Im not sure I would buy again but if you have a welder than its not really that big of a deal. Most of the hangers worked fine, did have to alter one of 2 of them but thats not a big deal either. It sounds good, real deep and a good bit quieter than my 2.5" exhaust.

Mine was this.

That downward angle is weird. No problems with the above. Hangers all lined up right too. I had to mod the downpipe for hangers but I used the GST downpipe and ran it upside down so it was bound to need work.
