starting issue

02 Silverado 4.8 2wd, Randomly it will do nothing when trying to start it. All lights and radio , everything else but the starter will work. No clicking ,nada... tried jumping tried everything I can think of. Have good volts and solid connections at the battery terms. ??????? this is a very random thing. It may have done this 2 times before but always started after a few trys.

this is usually the starter needing replacement...could be the wires got damaged or loosened...at starter...

if the lights don't dim when cranking attempting to crank..charging the battery is of no help.

hit the starter with a hammer...if your lucky you can get it to go ...then repair/drive to repair shop..

Im not understanding your question. Everything works but the starter, or the starter works and nothing else?
