Fuel Filter Replacement

Have a 98 4runner with the 2.7 liter 4 banger - has anyone ever acually changed the fuel filter on one of these? I found it was easier to see from under the truck than on top. Aside from being able to get to the front banjo fitting fairly easilly, the rest of this assembly looks like it's an absolute bear to tackle. The truck has over 106,000 miles on it. I don't see how it could NOT need this filter changed by now.......I know fuel is a lot cleaner coming out of the pumps than it used to be but........your thoughts gents? Thanks in advance. :screwy:

In general, the fuel filter is not considered by Toyota to be a maintenance item. Unless you have reason to think it is contaminated or you are getting insufficient fuel flow, it should be left alone.
