Car Wont start!

So, i have the car running great, put the tranny tunnel back in, put the switch panel back on the tranny tunnel(neer unhooked it) and went to start the car and the damn thing wont start or turn over!

I just get a click, fuel pump is humming away, battery appears to be fine, unless it has a dead cell or something... but it wont even start with a 50amp charger boost.

i checked that both starter wires are hooked up and not loose, ground wires to the engine are fine...

I'd find it hard to believe the starter or solenoid are bad...

any thoughts?

Eric,
I think this issue was covered in a previous thread so have a look back. Quite a few of us have had a similar symptom and a common cause has been the starter switch itself.

I had this happen when we went to start the car after the 6 hour race I did. Made me happy that none of the drivers stalled the car in the pits during the race!

If you look at the starter switch from the front of the panel, the wires on the left side are for the starter. Jump these and you will know for sure. I have installed a starter button below the starter switch there is plenty of room.

Thanks guys. The starter switch was fine, it was a loose connection on the kill switch on the dash panel.

just wiggled that and it fired up and purrrrd like a kitten

I also have had problems with the ignition start switch. Check that
Good luck!
