about a week ago i installed a cold air intake on my 3.1. it ran good for a while and i noticed it acted like a fuel injector was going out or something so i had walmart do a fuel injection cleaning to my car about 2 days ago.


well the day after i had them cleaned (yesterday) , i go to walamrt and when i go to start my car i noticed when it idles it stalled out. looked at it, the intake has fallen off, so i retightend it down and when i did there was a hard rod knocking type noise when i started the car. . i turned off the car checked inside the throttle body to see if anything was jammed in there. there was nothing. after about 10 to 15 mins of letting the car idle and making sure everything was plugged in, it stopped knocking and it ran good.

well today when i started my car, i smelt gas real bad. and thats the only time i smelt gas after the first time i started the car today in the morning.

theses no oil in my antifreeze and vise versa.

i dont have any leaks of any kind. the car still has a rough idle but it has always had thatsince i bought the car.

should i be worried the car will crock really soon or was the random knocking just a random noise that happend because i got the injectors clean and since the car has 230,xxx miles plus?

and do u think the car will last me another 4 months after hearing this?

Are you sure nothing fell inside and caused the knocking?

postive. because the only time i took the air intake was to put the new one on and when it fell off i was under the hood and i didnt see anything fall in there
