Just picked up a new Blu Ray DVD player with Netflix and youtube. Played one of Brian's Sebring videos on the big screen with full sound system. Fun to watch when it's cold and quiet up here in the off season.

Not the greatest shifting but it was a good race and a great finish.

Besides the terrible downshifting (thats why you overbuild your engines), this was a great race with a GT3 Cup Car and a Viper CC. I stayed with them and caught a great break in part 2 of the video. Setup was 440 RWHP, 3.50 rear end, 285 F and 325 R tires, no aero mods, too stiff front springs......I got a bunch more for them these days!!!! about 2-3 sec. a lap from what I can tell.
Not the greatest shifting but it was a good race and a great finish.

Great stuff Brian, really enjoyed watching those clips.
Jeez you have to give it to Dr Porsche, those are pretty efficient race machines. What spec are the GT3 Cup cars in the States Brian, are they around 400hp with 6 speed sequential gearboxes?
There are tons of them in NZ now as we have a race series for them. The latest GT3 cars with a pro driver seem to lap within a 2 - 3 seconds of GT1 / Transam lap times.
The thing that struck me about the Viper is how bloody big they look on the track. I have yet to race against one over here, so something to look forward to.......maybe!

Dr. Porsche had a 100 years to figure it out....Dr.Panoz is doing allright for just a decade....I used to be a p-car racer but now all I want to do is outrun them.
The 996 GT3 had 6 speed reg. manual (I think) the 997 got a sequential. I am not an expert on the Cup cars. I know the 996 to 997 got a bump in HP too. They are light like 2650lbs. and something like 450fwhp. I think the 2010 got another bump...that is what I am peeved about with the GTS....we need continual improvements :-)
The vipers are a bit scary...I like em!!! We have lots of em over here....
Actually the viper spun and the GT3 and I both missed collecting him and he moved or something...he got lucky its not a good spot to spin.
