i have an 87 5.0 that i just bought... it sat in a yard for 3 years. started up and drove it home, parked it in the driveway. next day went to start, will not start...plugs were horrible. cap was bad and coil was coroded replaced coil, wires, plugs, and fuel filter. now it just seems like its out of time...i try starting it and it cranks real hard then fires for a second or 2 then the motor spins over freely while crankming then i stop cranking and try it again with the same results....it only trys to fire when i hold the throttle wide open...if i dont hold the throttle wide open it just keeps turning over....i have spark and when i pull the plugs they look wet...i found tdc and the distributor was lined up perfectly....anyone have any clue or sugestions for me to try

Clean the plugs with the plugs out use a squirt oil can and put oil in the plug holes. roll the engine over with the plugs out then replace the plugs. Gas can clean the cylinders and cause to loose compression. Pull the vacuum hose on the fuel pressure regulator if leaking gas replace the regulator.
