I don't know if this has been posted already, but I am having trouble getting the intermediate shaft out of the passenger side of the front differential of my buddy's '02 ram. Any body have any tip or tricks to this? I don't have an axle removal tool that they show in the factory service manual. Damage to the axle is not an issue. It is too far gone to save, hense the replacement. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. :banghead::banghead::banghead:

I need to remove the one in the diff. They make a tool for it but I can't get ahold of one around here so I'll have to improvise. Ideas?

remove the front diff cover and with a hammer and a long pin punch you can punch it out. I just did one about a few days ago..

Thanks hundahunta!
That's a keeper for the bag of tricks!
Would a broom handle with a correct size radiator hose and clamps re-install one?

you can use a brass punch or I install them with my hand it goes in as easy as a cv axle goes into a trans or maybe even easier since the shaft is straight..
