I'm here in Saskatchewan near Saskatoon. Have a 97 LX 4dr. Plan to replace the rockers. They are rusting out.
Currently having problems with the starters. On number 4 in a year. Problem maybe eletrical ground. So once it melts and warms up I plan to change the cables and hopefully quit burning out starters. Has a 2l. auto. 280,000 km's on it. 90% highway.

How cold does it get up there. Have you got any tricks for starting a vehicle in sub-zero weather? When I was an aircraft mechanic in Minnesota, we would prime the cylinders with gas and then turn the engine through several times before trying to start it. If we didn't the plugs would freeze up (get ice on the electrodes) and we'd have to either put it in the shop for a while or take the plugs out and thaw them.

hey guys..

the weather up here isnt to bad, but can get down to -30 degrees at times. Personally i had never had a problem starting up my escort in this weather. Once you have a good battery that produces those cold cranking amps your good. If its colder..its a good idea to have a block heater lol.
