i was told by especialty z that i could use an auto ecu from a 90-92 n/a z to replace my 5spd ecu on my 90 n/a z. it worked . i also had a coil promblem so i replaced the one coil and it ran fine for about 2 months now i have a same miss on the first cyl on the passanger side on the front but its not the coil this time and i changed my power Transistor (used) to see if that was the problem and nothing it still runs on 5 cyl. one tech that works on the nissan dealer for 23years says it could be a bad injector but i have a hard time believing him. could it be the ecu thats making the mis. he kind of checked the injector he said could be bad its suppose to make a ticking sound it makes the sound but not as loud as the other ones. the car seems to have never been worked on majorly and i am d second owner so i dont see that its a bad injector what u guys think? ecu bad power transistor, injctor?

Yes, with the ethanol gas ,, injectors are going out .. but when you change ,, change to the newer style... 94 up...requires changing injector connectors

u mean that the gas we use now is ethenol or has ethenol in it. onother thing i just notice that wen is really cold it seems like its not missing. is it just cause it takes longer to warm up before it realizes that it is missing. how hard is it to chang the injectors

Gas is either E15 or E85 ,, up to 15% or up to 85% alcohol..
You can ohm out the injectors .. tolerance is 11ohm -14 ohm
But, there has been more money made on injectors having to be changed in the last 3-5 years. If you change one out most likely the rest will soon have to be changed out too.. Most guys go ahead and change to the later style injector and the injector connector has to be changed too.. Junk yards have the later model (94 up) Infiniti J30 which uses the same injector and that would give you the newer injector ,, you'd only have to change out the injector connectors then

Deatschwerks makes an adapter kit for the newer style injectors. Includes everything but the injectors.
Ohm your injector to test it.

so if i get the 94 j30 or z injectors i dont have to worry about them getting clogged ? besides the connectors needing to be replaced the process is plug and play dont need ecu upgrade or anything? the 91 auto ecu i have on now, will do? one more question is it wise to drive the z with this problem its spending a lot of gas big time but could i hurt something else by driving it?

That's 94 up J30 with new connectors, you will have to make a bigger opening in the Plenium for the number 1 injector..For NA not TT

which one is the #1 injctor ? and can I just cut the connectors with the injectors if I find a whole engine that has them?
