Looking for some snow tires for my base 1998 Malibu and was wondering if I could use 215-60-16 wheels/tires (from a later year malibu) as an alternative to the OEM 215-60-15's. Thanks.

As long as you keep them the same side to side it should be fine, be aware though that your speedo might be off a tad and the shift liogic could be a little screwy, I don't know how much different your tire sizes are, the rim size really does not matter as long as it clears the brakes and all. The overall circumference is what matters for the speedometer and shifting.
