Just double checking EVERYTHING before i go to the dyno and try to blow up ANOTHER motor! better to ask now, than tomorrow after something bad happens? right?

It depends on how your oil cooler is mounted. The idea is to make sure it fills completely. If it's standing on one end, the bottom fitting should be the inlet. This way the cooler fills all the way up before oil comes out the other side. If it's mounted horizontal, the fittings should be on the top and it doesn't matter wich is in or out.

Make sense?

Jim that makes sense except the setrab coolers that I thought we all have, have the in and the out on the same side so the in should be on the bottom and the out on top? I will have to check mine I dont think we did that....hmmmmm

In on bottom-out on top.:iceslolan Think about the oil running through the cooler. What would happen if the inlet was on the top? We want maximum cooling. For that to happen the cooler must be full of oil.

Come to think of it, I haven't ever checked how mine is plumbed.:eek:
