Ok, so I was driving in rain the other day and I came to a red light. I wanted to pass the car next to me so I thought I'd trow my 98 Blazer in 4hi to get a little more traction. It worked fine and then I put it back in 2wd. After all that, as I was coming to a complete stop, I got this weird vibrating/grinding noise from somewhere in the front end (i think). It started as soon as I'd get on the brake, slowed down as my speed decreased and continue until i was almost to a crawl. I hadn't used the 4x4 in a while either (I thought I'd mention it in case it has anything to do with this). Anyone have a clue?

Ok, I've been driving the truck, the noise has been staying only when the truck is cold. After about 3-5 minutes of running, the noise goes away. Can it be my transmission slipping? Any help?

Can you feel the vibration in the steering wheel and only when stopping, i.e. stopping for a stop light?

No, I feel it in the floor. I think it has something to do with my Transfer case, maybe. I feel it when I'm stopping but it starts lightly when I am coasting in 2wd. If I put it in 4Hi it actually rides really smooth, no noise! Hope this helps!!
