My daughters car stalled out on her the other day. i got to her and tried to jump it but t would not start. Towed the car back home and started checking things out by pulling the spark plug ti check for spark. Spark is there, but it seemed a little faint. Seems to be getting fuel, but manually put some gas in throung the throttle, but still no go. We pulled the plugs and did a compression test and it didn't show any compression in any of the cylinders. I assume that the tester was in good working order. We then pulled the valve cover and tried turning it over, and the valves seem to be moving freely. I am wondering if anyone has any ideas where to go from here? We were thinking that the timing chain might have jumped on it, thus throwing everything off. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks, Mike

You're probably right about the chain jumping, pull the cover off and see if the marks line up.

Thanks for the reply. Did that last night and the plastic on the tensioner broke off and was lodged in the gears, making the chain jump. Puy in a new chain and thried to fire it, but nothing, Checked compression and nothing.. Pulled the head and all 4 exhaust valves are bent. Now the fun begiins. Hope all goes well on the re-assembly, the tear down was a challenge.
