Need some help guys

Have a 1996 Grand Am SE My power window, driver side stopped working. My 2 part question is

How do you take the door panel off, is there screws somewhere I don't see? Secondly, when, and if I do get the panel off, can I get the window up and stay up, without the power ? Thanks

if you look inside of the door panel handle you will see two or three Philips screws so remove them, then around the door sides are plastic clips that you don't see you can just pull the door panel away and it should separate then push from bottom up to separate it from the top side. Motor for the window is 43$ in az, you will have to remove rivets and install regular bolts for the new motor, and yes you can close the window by jumping some terminals of the master switch. I assume you have electric windows. You will have to jump motor to close the window if you reverse the connectors the window will go in the opposite direction
