I have a 2001 ford focus zx3 hatch back. I was told there is a fuel cut off switch located either in the glove box or the driver side rear panel by the brake light. I am unable to find such reset switch. Any help in finding this switch would be very helpful.

I'm not familiar with your vehicle, but the owner's manual for the standard '01 Focus says it's behind the kick panel on the passenger side:

2001 Focus inertia switch location (http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x64/Selectron/Focus/2001-focus-inertia-switch-location.png)

If you don't have the manual, you can download a free copy in PDF format from this Ford site (https://www.fleet.ford.com/maintenance/owners_manuals/default.asp).

Thank you so much for the information it really helped me. It wasn't the switch. but when I was jolted by the Ice and slid into the curb I thought that it might have been the problem. Thanks again.
