That is amazing. I'd be too sad to have to send it off, it's just too nice! By far one of the best scale GT-Rs I've ever seen.

Not a huge fan of the R35 but this one is something else, excellent work on the CF. Everything about this is gorgeous!

Yes indeed there are two to three parts that are not perfect. Quite disappointed with these imperfection especially when they occur at such prominent places. But anyway, im still satisfied with the overall build. Well, for the price, like i said in my WIP thread, i cant disclose it. Sorry :)

Hi, thanks for liking my GTR. I used X-10 enamel gun metal on the rims as well as the lips actually.

Also, thanks everybody for the compliments! Really appreciate them!

thanks for the reply Roland!
since i have no airbrush i would like to use a spray paint both on lips and rims. kit instructions suggest ts-71 (smoke).
do you think it can suit both rims and lips or should I find some spray similar to x-10?

thank you very much for your time!

Excellent build! I've got this trans kit on its way to me as well.....I finally found something to make me want to build my tamiya r35

No problem.. Well, TS-71 to me is not suitable for the rims. But i have seen people used it for the rims. I would suggest you to find something similar but in the end its just personal preference.

i forgot to tell that i am doing the stock r35, not the amuse version.
did you paint the stock one with gun metal as well?

i am looking right now at the tamiya spray catalog and found that the x-10 gun metal is there also in spray (TS-38 gun metal), i think they are the same color.

so i guess i'll buy the spray gun metal for rims and lips. i would really like to use spray paint on external surfaces to get a more realistic effect.

Yes i paint them with gunmetal as well. But anyway, just for your info, TS-38 gun metal is different from the enamel X-10 because the metallic particles in the TS38 is way larger than enamel paints, even though their color maybe close.
