Hi everyone,
A friend bought a 2003 Honda Civic EX and he has one master key. He ordered another key online, but he doesn't know how to program it and he doesn't have the code. Can anyone who knows how to do this help?? Thanks!

I also have a similar problem with a Lexus LS 400. If you can help with this one too, please do so. Thanks!

The 2003 Honda needs to be program with a TCode, MVP or similar programming tool. There is no on board programming. You will need to call a locksmith to duplicate and program it.

Your Lexus doesn't have a transponder key. It is a high security key aka laser cut aka sidewinder. It has a button on the side of the key that is to lock/unlock the doors. If that's what you mean, you are out of luck because you can't program it. The only way is to replace the module and when you buy it new, it comes with 2 keys, that you still have to duplicate. The key that you bought, you can use it as a regular key.

Hope it helps

Hope it helps. sounds familiar... he cold also have his Honda key cloned on a hd106pt5 as for the lexus what year is it?

A locksmith can do this cheaper than the dealer and do it out of their truck so you don't have to miss work.

Hi Dan, he has a link for the Lexus posting, It is a 1992. With the Honda, even though you are right about cloning as a cheaper method, he already bought the key on eBay.
