Rear window wiper parts

I have 2001 Montana that the rear wiper won't work. The main plastic gear (that has the metal contacts on back) that runs off the worm drive of the wiper motor is striped due to the shaft the wiper attaches to froze up. Can I buy just the plastic gear?

I doubt it. You would be better off with a reman unit with a warranty. There's a reason the gear stripped.

The rear window wiper on my 2001 Montana did not work. I took it apart and found the plastic gear had stripped. The Pontiac dealer does not sell the gear - rather I found I had to buy the whole new wiper motor assembly. I went to a junk yard and pulled one off a Chevy Venture. Recommend going to a junk yard and finding a Montana or its Chevy or Oldmobile van cousins.
