95 Lumina - Repetitive squeak

Sometimes when I drive, there is a repetitive squeaking, and then when I apply the break it goes away.

New pad time?

Also, my fuel gauge moves a lot. If I fill the tank to around 1/2, it will move from just above 1/2 down to 1/4, and in-between as I drive.
Is this something I can fix? What's going on?

And lastly, does anybody know the location of the EGR valve on a 95 Lumina?
I want to take a look before I go to smog it tomorrow.

The squeak sounds like the brake pad wear indicators, the gage could be the sending unit in the tank and the egr location can be seen in a picture at autozone.com, repair guides, register and go to your car.

Thanks! Very helpful :)

The squeaking only happens when I DON'T apply the break, which makes me think it's not the wear indicators (as that would only make noise when applying the breaks) is that accurate?

Disc or drum rear?

That is the symptom of the indicators, the noise goes away when braking, 95 had drum rear. Pull the wheels and look, no?
