94 dakota. 3.9 v6. park it. the next day it wont start. cranks fine but no fire. i put some gas in the carb and it fires on that gas only. so, obviously it's not getting fuel. plus, i can't hear the pump power up so i changed the fuel pump relay. nothing. now, i know it's not the pump, but they all say it is so i change it out. big waste of time and money. still nothing. put more gas in the carb and now have no spark. took the coil and stator to advance auto where they check them both. i end up buying a new stator. $40. still nothing. i read a ton of posts on here where it might be this or that but nobody ever comes back to say " this is what fixed it ". so here it is.there's a mess of wires under the box on the fender well that has all the relays. open it,pull pump relay, take circuit tester and see if you have, with key off, power to one of the pins [#30]. if not, take that box off and follow the red and white wire about a foot. there's actually 3 wires that end up being soldered into one. it's at that solder point where they go bad. i did read about this from a mechanic on this forum, but sometimes there's too much info on this site. anyway, thanks to that guy. i could have fixed it for nothing, but at least i won't be needing a new fuel pump any time soon
