another story of mine. currently trying to stop all oil leaks. already fixed the most serious one coming from oil pressure switch. now time for both valve covers.
front one looks easy, but have a question about rear one. i can see there fuel lines and a support arm for power steering pump - do i have to remove those completely in order to open rear valve cover? can i safely unbolt P/S arm from valve cover close area, or i have to remove serpentine belt and whole p/s pump (any fluid draining necessary?) ?
and most importantly, what is the proper torque for valve cover bolts (4-5 of them on edges, look like 14mm) ?
do i need any other gaskets or seals except for Felpro Permadry (no grommets) valve cover gasket VS50080R set i already got ?

thank you for your valuable input.

good call. thanks maxwedge (http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/member.php?u=19971). forgot about autozone's repair guides. this one seems quite precise.

today replaced the front one. quite easy to access, only wires and 1 clip (can be bent) on the way. cleaned the surfaces on both cover and housing, replaced the gasket, re-torqued nuts to 7ft-lbs ~88in-lbs (~50Nm) - and it seems to be holding nicely, so far no more leaks from there.
i gave up for now the rear valve cover job. it requries removing the drivebelt (just replaced it), unbolting P/S pump and removing some fuel line clips and other stuff in close vicinity... too much work, maybe will do it in Spring if i decide to keep the car anyways (too rusty).
