Gentlemen, I need help! I have the door panel off (passenger door) but can't figure out how to remove the regulator/motor assy. It's behind a metal structural panel of the door. I even have the GM Shop Manual for it and I Can't figure it out. They say to drill out some rivets but the rivets I see have been put in from the inside or the other side of what I can see. I see some bolts and I guess I could cut the rivets off with a Dremel tool. They say to tape the window in the up position. Does any of this sound familiar to anybody reading? Sure could use some help.

gm is good for using rivits. they have to be drilled or cut out. the window is bolted to the regulator. carfully un bolt it and tape it to the top of the door or remove it. the motor should be part of the regulator, but removable. to replace the rivits, i used quarter twenty nuts and bolts. once installed i then cut them to length as not to get in the way of the door panel

Thank you 91 Bird. Your answer helped alot. I'm putting the panel back on tomorrow. The problem turned out to be a jammed sector. What made the job so hard was all of the seat belt stuff is in that door. Thanks again for the reply.

Does anyone know what he means by "jammed sector"?

I'm gearing up for window repairs and reading the threads.

Sounds like window jumped the track. I have a 95 2door. I've had to adjust drivers window numerous times.
