HI guys,

I'm planning on starting a Christmas gift for my dad, His daily driver is a 2007 Dodge charger with the 2.7 V6, The only modifications that have been done to the car are a Eibach pro kit and a cat back system. I have obtained the Testors Dodge Charger Daytona R/T kit. Body conversion is not hard at all, mainly just to delete the spoiler and a minor reshape of the front bumper. My issue is the motor, This kit come with the 5.7 Hemi, My basic plan so far is to use the Hemi block and heads and cut them down to six cylinders, but as for the valve covers and intake manifold i have no idea how to go about it. Seeing as my dad lives over 100 miles from me i can't use the car for live reference, i Can only go snap some photos when i go visit him in a few weeks. So it's a long shot but, are there any trans-kits out there to convert to a V6 model? If not how should i go about making the rough parts? I have never scratch built a motor before and would like it to look as realistic as possible. Thank you guys.

You could cut the valve covers in half and re-size them and glue them back... That way you dont have to reshape the ends of them. Same with the intake?

Well the intake on the Hemi is nothing like the 2.7, the 2.7 motors intake resembles the style from a late 80's early 90's ford 3.8 or even 5.0. I'm thinking i could maybe modify a 5.0 manifold to look close.

The Amt Prowler has a nice V6 in the kit but, the tranny stops just behind the bell housing. I couldn't find my directions so, I might be missing something. If the engine looks right it would be easy to add a tranny to it.
