Fujimi Spoon Civic. I just posted it for reference, and to let you know that it takes A LOT of work and cutting and geting pissed and feeling like smashing the kit and getting even more pissed. Whew. Anyway, thanks for the comment.

wooo test fitting the wheels and presto, I'm in love, i now how bigger wheel wells to lower the car even more! :D

Hey we think alike,haha, cuz i was going to do the same. Nice job on it, coming out pretty good. The thing im wondering about how did u cutt out the head light part? or did u just cutt the whole thing off? Thanx:)

.porkchop. imm guessing that u used the boxcutter to cut out the hood? if so how does it work? never thought of using a box cutter

Cutting around the headlights was a bitch, so i headed up the knife (hence the candle in the picture) and cut it with a hot knife, around the lights, much cleaner cut, great results.

warm up the blade and make it like a hot iron to butter, makes it glide thru the plastic

and pork man calm down we were jus playin

Oh ic, so its just like melting the plastic and cutting at the same time?

yes it makes it very easy but can be dangerous if u dont follow a line and sand it up after cuz u know ur melting plastic, its gonna run down side a tin bit

It is not sanded in the pictures, but i have since sanded it. I'm trying to avoid repainting the body, so far so good.......

and no, i didnt cut the lights out......

i will be reconstructing the top part of the headlights to make them look real with plastic sheets

Not that it matters much, but do you guys know the engine bay area of a EG civic and integra type R are VERY different. There's a pretty big difference.

Keep up the good work!! here is a pic of mine, maybe this will help motivate the finished product:D

Engine bay is almost done..still need to make the radiator fit.
I've moved it fwd as possible, and got the firewall to line up with the window frame. First coat of paint has also been added. details to come!

Still need to make the light covers.......
I've also added a cross member (if thats what u call it) across the front of the bumper, between the lights. i just couldnt stand to see that huge gap there, it just didnt seem right.

I have definately used yours as motivation. I actually searched for the thread in which you posted that so i can see how you lined up your engine bay, as you can see on mine, i've moved it fwd as much as possible.

Coming out pretty well, looks really hard, i might think it over, of doing the motor swap...:confused: or not.

Yeah everything is a tight fit, here is another angle, still room for the radiator! the cross member looked bigger in that other shot.

As long as you have patience, theres no stopping you. This took alot of cutting and trial and error fitting. What is left is probably only 70% of the ITR engine bay, everything underneath, what you cant see, is cut out to fit.

Oh ic, thats kool, whut do u mean by Cross member.

he means the bar that goes between the gap in the lights.. go up in posts to where theres a shot of a disasembled bumper and in next pic see the thing that fills in the gap?

yes, that "thing" is also what latches onto the hood on a real car.

The crossmember never touches the hood. You're getting the crossmember confused with something else.

grrr...didnt i say that i dont know what that piece is called? its the piece that i just added. Thats where the hood LATCHES onto the car. Call it what you want.:bloated:

oh it is, trust me, just got out of an automotive class where I had to learn all of that stuff:D Figured I could through my knowledge in so no one else complains about it

hehe thanks man!

Colour matched and radiator support bar also detailed now. Also dissembled and raised the entire engine bay so that it lined up more correctly.....
