VW New Beetle

Today I completed this simple Revell kit. It was painted MS-1 Bright Gold by Tamiya spraycan and than polished with Micromesh polishset.

I added a nice set of Fabulous Profound wheels, which looks almost the same as the Audi A8 rims. These wheels are very often used on VW's in Europe.

I really love the result of the paintjob. It has a great shine and maybe we'll hang it in the christmas tree this year :D

The fittment of this kit is not bad at all, but the windows are the main problem of this kit. I tryed to fix it with a lot of glue and some crocodile clips but it is still not perfect in my eyes.

Here's a short list of modifications and accesoires I used:

- custom made frontbumper
- cleaned bumpers
- fuelcap removed
- 20'' Fabulous Profound wheels by Aoshima
- black interiorflocking
- pinstripe on the hood
- PE cd and Nokia
- some magazines

Very nice job overall, the color is excellent, also good job on the rims, they really suit the car. I don't really like the matted out headlight and taillight lenses, but to be honest, they suit the theme - congrats!

The gold paint came out really nice! The whole car looks like "show" quality.
