Daytona Track Event - Dec 4th - 6th

FYI... Hooked on Driving is doing a track event at Daytona Dec 4, 5, & 6. Several of us from Florida are going on Saturday, Dec 5th. They are running the full Rolex 24 course including the banking of NASCAR 2, 3, 4 and the tri-oval.

I would be there but I am running the HSR event at Sebring that same weekend.

Definitely want some video.

Gary Jones and his grp of mustangs were at Daytona this past weekend, with one reaching 174mph on the garmin GPS.

Daytona would be nice but we are going to Road Atlanta for the NASA event. I'm sure there is plenty of room for anyone who wants top come to R A. NASA has been a good group to run with.

Aug. 2006 First time at Daytona first day... SCCA event very little practice....very little run time... We withdrew our entry so not to mess up the GT2 season for anyone since we dont race GT2. My brother Dan set a GT2 track record on one day and then I broke the record the next day. We only had one Panoz with us that weekend.

Passed a guy with a garmin doing 182...so I did the math and seem to be real close to 190 with the 3.50 rear end....too fast. This was with our old 396 stroker motor and slightly smaller tires with no aero changes. Cant imagine what would happen today. Look at the dash cowling and you will know why the brace from PAD is required.

My bro and I are planning on both cars at the NASA event at RA as well. Should be a great weekend. Santas toy run event with a lotto race on Sunday. I want to start dead last should be a blast.

I think 9 hrs is to long for our cars. Would love to have a Mazda. That would be nice.

We have bailed on the RA event for a much better event @ Sebring. PBOC Winterfest is Wed.-Sun. Jan 13-17 and has a 6hr night enduro, 90 min. enduro, and 2 - 30 min. sprints. plus 3 days of open lapping days. Should be great.

The RA event had too much travel for too little track time. Lets get a huge shwoing at Sebring! The pros are coming to practice for the ALMS 12hr and the Rolex the following weekend.

Mike, unless I'm mistaken you will be at the SVRA event during the 12 Hour week, correct? A group of us will be renting the Turn 1 club again this year. 3 or 4 Panoz owners, among others. My saint of a wife just bought me a new Canon 7D camera rig. Keep in touch and I'll get a bunch of pictures of you on track.
