Blows under hood 15 amp EFI fuse on engine cranking.
And if it is blowed or removed it blows 7.5 IGN ign fuse under dash.

Has spark and fuel pump run.

Thanks for any ideas.

More testing I found the blue fuel pump wire and diagnostic test connector from circuit opening relay shorting.
Unplugged fuel pump and still shorting.

Any body have a body wiring diagram or link to one for the blue fuel pump wire to fuel pump and diagnostic test connector wiring diagram from circuit opening relay ?
Thanks

Check the EFI main relay and the wires leading to it for shorts. One leads from the relay through the IGN fuse and the other leads from the EFI fuse. The IGN power activates the relay. The EFI power is connected by applying power through the IGN circuit which is switched on and off by the ignition switch.

See page EG2-245 in the '93 pick-up / 4Runner manual link in the sticky post at the top of this forum

For the information.
That looks like a good manual.
Only problem I could not get to page EG2-245.
Do you know what part of manual the page is under?

The blue wire to fuel pump and test diagnostic plug from from circuit open relay is where it is shorting.

Does the wiring from relay to fuel run under carpet or frame or to the rear and back to fuel tank?
I am going to run a new wire back to fuel pump.
But would like to find where the short is also to be sure it will not be shorting out other stuff.
Thanks

That page EG2-245 is in the file "03h-3VZ-E MFI System.pdf"

See also the file "16-Body Electrical.pdf"

I hope these are the original file names and not mine for my own reference.

I don't know the wire routing in that truck. However, it is almost certain to be a short to the body or chassis and not affecting another circuit. I would rewire and forget about the original.

I got under it and found blowed up muffler and blowing exhaust onto wiring.
Melted together beside muffler where it drops down out of floor board under left rear seat.
Looked like fuel pump wire was melted into ground wire to rear speed sensor.

Repaired wiring and all is well except fuel pump runs but will not pump fuel.
New fuel pump should do it now.
Thanks
