grand am gt seat problems

we have a 99 grand am gt coupe. the passengers side front seat wont flip forward. the lever on the back of the seat broke. lift it up and it doesnt grab. is there a way to fix this or do you have to replace the whole seat? what prices are we looking at?

it should be cable operated, see if you can see the cable maybe the socket for the cable fell out and now your lever is not pulling anything, if it is broke see if you can tie something to the end of the broken cable (example: tie it between the bolt head and nut and use that to pull it until you find original cable at the dealer.
